Are you comparing apples with pears? 

Rather confusingly, Marine Gas Oil is often priced and delivered in different liquid or volume measurements.  Sometimes this can make it very difficult to compare prices from different suppliers or calculate fuel efficiency. So, to help you, Maren has produced a simple table that can convert one measurement to another. 

The most common measurements are,

Metric Ton
(as this is a volume measurement you will need to know the density of the product to convert metric tonnes to one of the liquid measurements)

Litres

Cubic metres

US Gallons

To use the tables, identify the measurement you have and go to the relevant table, enter in the quantity. The equivalent in USG, CBM and MT equivalent will be calculated.

For example, if you have litres, go to table 4 and in the blue box enter the quantity on the line appropriate to the density (SG) and the equivalents will be calculated.
